Chapter 4

In chapter four, Sam realises that he offers his whole life for his girl, Alicia. Now, Sam thinks about the feelings to Alicia and recognize that he is her boyfriend and she is his girlfriend, not more and not less. There is the routine every evening: watching TV in her room, having sex and never much to say. First time, since lots of weeks, he tries to live his own life, for example with his biggest hobby skateboarding. He also has a conversation with his mother. She feels that something has changed between Alicia and Sam. He offeres more time for his hobbies and hasn´t as much time as before for Alicia. One evening, Sam goes to Alicia and eats with the whole family: Alicia, Alicia´s dad, Alicia´s mum and Alicia´s brother. Her family is totally different to his family. They have reached something in their life and they take care to Alicia an her brother Rich. Sam feels more and more that he is a member of Alicia´s family. While dinner Alicia´s father Robert asks Sam wether he knows what to do after the GCSEs. They know not uch about Sam´s family but enough to have some prejudices. His mom got the children with 17, there is no father at home and so on.. Sam doesn´t say much, so Alicia tells something about his future plans. "He is going to do art and design at college. Robert is surprised, but in a positive way. After the dinner by Alicia he goes back home and sees that his mother is getting a boyfriend. It is Mark who they met at the Express Pizza. But he doesn´t really know much about Sam and his hobby, skateboarding. In the end of the fourth chapter, he realises that he doesn´t pay enough attention to Alicia and that he can´t only live his own life without respecting Alicia.
