Chapter 2/3

At the beginning of chapter three, Sam loves Alicia so much that all the other things, which he usually does in his life, eating breakfast, sleeping, going to school, watching TV and so on.. Waiting to see Alicia again. He wonders very much that a girl like Alicia can love a boy like him. She reflects his feelings as well as no other girl ever did. Somewhere in chapter 3, Alicia says: "I love you" and Sam does what he has to do and says: "I love you, too." He is sure of loving Alicia at this moment. Really sure! Problematic, is that Sam´s mum doesn´t want that he spends all his time with Alicia. Maybe one reason for that is, that she gets Sam and from this moment a hard life has started for her. She don´t want Sam, to go the same hard way of life, she went. One evening she asks Sam whether they both could do something together for example going to the Pizza Express and watching a film in the cinema. It is the first time that Sam feels that his mum cares about him. But one evening with his mum would mean one evening without Alicia. "It won´t kill you" Sam´s mum says. It is very hard for Sam, don´t seeing Alicia only one day. Most of the conversations between Sam and his mum are about the "Love". The love between Sam and Alicia. After the cinema his mum asks him whether Sam has sex with Alicia. But he doesn´t want to talk about it. One evening Alicia comes to Sam and his mum for having dinner. Alicia likes her and Sam's mom likes Alicia. Then the moment comes why Sam didn't really want the dinner. Alicia asks his mum how it was to have a baby at sixteen. In this moment Sam tries to change the topic.
In my opinion this conversation was very helpful for the following relationship between Alicia and Sam !
